Why don't we go the other way around so I can follow your lead?

Alright, then. We're looking for another amulet, by the way. Hope you're not too disappointed that it isn't something more exciting.

[ She'd read up on what happened with Peter and his team before, after all. ]
This one's really just an amulet that happens to be very, very pretty and very, very valuable, so you have nothing to worry about, Star-Lord.

Duly noted, Goto. So play the crowd, sneak into the vault, have a nice long laugh about the night afterwards?
no subject
[ she just winks at him. ]
no subject
Honestly, Goto. You are in incorrigible. It's surprising you get any work done.

Plus I fly solo ninety-eight percent of the time.

[ He clears his throat, then gasps. ]
How was that? Better?
no subject
Eh. Sorry, Quill, maybe you're just not quite up to the master's level.
no subject
I'm not much of a gasper, anyway.
When do you wanna meet?
no subject
[ She gives him a light little pat on his cheek before she slips out of the distance between them. ]
Nightfall. Party doesn't start till the sun goes down.
no subject
[ He says it as she's slipping past, and he grins as she goes. ]
I'll meet you then.
woops thought i posted this
When the night begins to fall, the scenery across town changes, and although it's a bit quieter than the hustle and bustle of the day, there's a different kind of energy that takes its place when the sun goes down. People come out, some dressed more nicely than they otherwise would in the day, for a night out in the taverns or just strolling about and enjoying the scenery and the refreshingly cool breeze that accompanies the night.
Kasumi arrives, dressed in some of her best and unveiled, as promised, but she keeps her essentials about her; namely, her invisibility orb, which she now wears as an amulet around her neck, and a blade or two sheathed beneath her dress. She's always expecting trouble, after all, and she wouldn't have gotten this far without always thinking ahead.
Which is why she's cloaked at the moment, waiting for Peter's arrival to come out. ]

As good as her word, Peter returns to find a package waiting for him -- and everyone looks a bit suspicious, though he's assured it's been scanned for tracking devices or possible explosives. So that's comforting. He moves into his quarters and finds a suit, and weirdly enough, it does, in fact, fit.
The hows and whys of that are a little concerning, but-- he'll let it slide. This time.
He arrives at their meeting place a few minutes early, and as he's approaching the city gates, he's fidgeting with his sleeve. His weaponry is holstered beneath his coat, carefully smoothed down to avoid them peaking out in his silhouette. Peter feels thoroughly ridiculous in this get-up, and would much prefer to be wearing a pair of comfortable trousers and his customary red jacket, just about now. ]

You're looking rather dapper tonight, Star-Lord.

is what he would be thinking, had he jumped out of his skin in surprise.
Which he did not.
He absolutely did not. ]
Holy hell, Goto. That was not cool.
no subject
In any case, she cocks her head to one side with grin that, without her veil, is now clearly visible. ]
Sorry, were you expecting anything else from me?
no subject
[ Now that his heart isn't about to explode in his chest, he can appreciate how good she looks. Even better without that veil, too -- Goddamn, indeed. ]
Okay. Let's start over.
Hi, Goto, you look gorgeous.

Try and keep it professional tonight, will you, Quill?
