[ True to her word, Sumina knocks gently upon the door to Jing Yuan's suite later that evening, well after dinner service - which had, of course, been a rather lovely experience, full of lovingly prepared food for the Elderflower's guests, and followed by all manner of merriment. A bard had even graced tonight's patrons with a performance. But the most successful aspect of the evening is that there had been no trouble at all. No broken dinnerware or furniture, no brawling, nothing.
So, while Sumina is a bit tired simply from having overseen the day's operations, she feels... happy, and fulfilled. It had been the sort of day that makes her so very proud to be the keeper of this very special inn.
In any case, she stands outside of Jing Yuan's door with a basket full of scented soaps and balms, and treatments. She'd only mentioned the hair treatment to him, but of course, she had to do More. ]
Ah... General? This is the innkeeper. [ not her not even calling herself by her own name? ] Shall I leave the soaps out here, by your door?
[ staying here has been a lovely experience. the inn itself is a beautiful little space, the land around it peaceful and welcoming, and above all, the service has been outstanding. his men have been enjoying themselves a great deal, gorging themselves on delicious food and drink, different from the usual xianzhou fare but very good nonetheless, warm and filling.
jing yuan himself has settled in nicely as well, sitting at the back of the common area with an easy smile on his lips, enjoying his food and chatting with his men, listening to the bard perform, and offering them a very generous tip.
there are only a few days left now, before they return to the luofu, the enormous ship so large that it fills the horizon while she is docked. he will miss the peace here, he thinks. the quiet. and the sweet, helpful inkeeper herself, who has been nothing but a joy to work with since first contact. so when her knock comes, jing yuan answers the door with a smile, genuine and warm. he's dressed down for the night, in his red trousers and a light button-down shirt, sleeves rolled up to his elbows, his wild hair a mane around his face. ]
Miss Sumina. [ he says, dipping his head in greeting. ] Please feel free to come in, if you like, to show me all that you've brought.
[ It certainly is good, that he's settled in so nicely and has gotten so comfortable in her establishment, though even for all of her years of service, she still finds herself surprised at times when she finds a guest dressed down like so... Particularly when it's someone as revered and decorated as Jing Yuan, and particularly when she's standing at the threshold of his suite, being invited inside... Oh. ]
Oh.
[ She clears her throat, realizing all too late that she should have simply left the soaps by the door and sent a message, but now she's here, and perhaps against her professional sensibilities and better judgment... she steps within. ]
Yes... ah. It'll only be a moment of your time, of course!
[ jing yuan is, in fact, still covered from head to toe, though without his full regalia on he must look all but naked to her. he chuckles, the sound soft and gentle and easy, before he holds the door open further for her.
in she comes, and he closes it again. ]
Please, take all the time you need. You are no bother to me.
[ he spreads his hands. ]
You have been nothing but kind and courteous since the moment we arrived. Before, in fact. I appreciate you taking time for me.
