[ As soon as he makes the suggestion, Kasumi shoots Charlie a momentary glance, one that says she's about to protest the idea--
But then she sees the way Peter perks up, and then she realizes she can't protest it. After all, she knows what that's like, too, being confined to your bed to recover when you want anything but. At length, she just flashes them both a small smile. ]
There's a pizza place down the street a little bit. What about picking something up there and getting some fresh air at the park nearby?
By now she's thrown her jacket on, and the hood to go with it, as well. In another fluid motion, she's tossing Peter a fresh shirt to wear (she stopped by his place and got crap for him, okay). ]
I'm sure we'll manage. The weather isn't too bad for Florida, too. It'll be fun!
Whatevs. He has to carefully maneuver himself to slip the first shirt off, keeping one arm mostly immobile to avoid aggravating his injury. Even so, he still bites down on a hiss as he's changing into his new shirt and it's slow going, but once done, he swings his legs over the edge of the bed. ]
[ Charlie blinks, but waders over regardless to offer a hand ] What? Do you think helping Peter off the bed requires one tiny wizard and one petite thief?
[ they're gonna get that hug, Peter, just you wait. She opens the door after slipping her shoes on, stepping through and then holding it open for the both of them. ]
As usual, if either of you tell anyone where I live, I may have to kill you.
[ said in the opposite of a serious tone, of course. ]
[ And as promised, she leads them to the elevator, where they thereafter enjoy an elevator that actually travels at a humane pace. If there's one thing (excluding Charlie and Peter) that Kasumi's grateful for about being stuck in this dimension, it's that the elevators don't take a million years to go down a few floors. Which is why, when they reach the lobby and exit the elevator, Kasumi laughs to herself. ]
Wait, sorry. I have to ask -- that was like, a normal elevator speed, right? The ones where I'm from always took forever.
[ Peter leans against the wall of the elevator, eyes shut, but the trip is too short to get comfortable. As they step off, he smirks a little, amused. ]
Tell me about it. Some places I've been, it would've been faster just to take the stairs. Other places, you might as well be jumping out of a window.
[ He points behind them at the elevator with his thumb. ]
[ A small smile finds its way onto Kasumi's lips, too; she's glad to see anything other than a frown on Peter's face. She turns her gaze forward again, after that, continuing to lead them on out of the building and to the promised place of pizza. ]
God, I know. They're practically useless if you're in a hurry. Might as well invest in a grappling hook and rappel all the way down. There's really no explanation for it. I guess outer space and elevators just don't get along.

[ Kasumi, probably.
Charlie rolls off the bed to grab his jacket and get ready himself. ]
Ready when you guys are.

I'm good.

She's tempted to walk over and help him with the shirt, but she refrains. Instead, she walks over after he's finished, and holds out a hand. ]
Shall we?
[ She tosses a glance over her shoulder to Charlie, too, as though to say, get over here. ]

Peter is perfectly capable of helping himself off the bed, thanks.
[ Which he does, with only the barest hint of a wince. ]
I'm not completely useless.

Just thought I'd offer.

Aaaand he heads off to follow Kasumi. ]

[ But he follows, trudging after them slowly. ]

Onwards, then? It's not too far of a walk from here once we get downstairs. We can take the elevator.
